Shadi Alathamneh

A PhD Candidate in Building Construction at Auburn University, specializing in custom-built generative AI agents for construction education and field reporting. Research areas also focus on reality capture and remote sensing technologies, including LiDAR laser scanning, photogrammetry, drone-based mapping, and additive manufacturing applications.

Teaching experience includes serving as an Instructor of Record for Construction Information Technology and holding a Graduate Certificate in University Teaching. Additional background includes two years of design-build industry experience with a focus on 3D visualization, job costing, professional training, and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Recognized as one of Auburn University's Outstanding Doctoral Students of the Year for 2025 and selected as the Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year in 2023 at the McWhorter School of Building Science. Experience also includes coaching ASC competition teams and mentoring graduate students at Auburn University.
